KREDTRAKARN Protection and Occupational Development Center

Kredtrakarn Protection and Occupational Development Centre , commonly known as Baan Kredtrakarn (Kredtrakarn Home) was formerly established on 2nd July 1960 under the Department of Public Welfare , in conformity with the former Prostitution Suppression Act 1960. The law was amended in 1996 to provide improved protection for , and assistance to children below 18 years of age through occupational development , psychosocial rehabilitation and medical treatment. Kredtrakarn Protection and Occupational Development Centre is currently under supervision of the Bureau of Anti-Trafficking in Women and Children , Department of Social Development and Human Security.

Baan Kredtrakarn extends protection for children and

women both Thai and non-Thai victims who suffer

from various types of social problems , such as has girls

who need special assistance , forced labor ,

exploitative wages , sex exploitation and forced begging.
